Malaysia practices Parliament Democracy, which Constitutional Monarchy and His Royal Highness or Yang di Pertuan Agong as the Paramount Ruler. The constitution emphasized that the executive is exercised by the Cabinet with the Prime Minister as the leader.
Parliament Democracy has a division of three parts, which are:
  1.    Legislative; which are Dewan Rakyat and Dewan Negara
  2.    Judiciary (Court)
  3.    Administrative or Executives; which are Prime Minister, Ministers and the other administrative.
Since Malaysia is a country based Federation system, all states including Sabah and Sarawak has give some part of its power to the Central Government to be monitored and controlled. Some of the power are Finance, defense, foreign affairs and educations.
Responsibilities of the Parliament are:
  1. Passes federal law
  2. Amend existing federal law
  3. Examine government policies
  4. Approve government expenditures
  5. Approve new taxes
